Attending a design school, I have focused not only on a degree in fashion, but have had the opportunity to receive a general design education, accumulating a broad range of design skills.

With a background in customer service, combined with my entrepreneurial spirit, I have developed the ideal skillset for an industry revolving around the consumer. Not only do these skills prove useful with consumers, but with vendors and while collaborating with colleagues and potential partners.

My design background, along with my continued interest in art, has led to my being able to fine-tune my observational and analytical skills- with a strong attention to detail. In addition, working in retail has taught me the importance of, and how to, celebrate each customer’s style, recognizing and prioritizing the energy of the indiviual consumer’s wants and needs.

My strengths include creativity and intuition, leading to my ability to produce thoughtful designs, while maintaining the ability to stay organized in an otherwise hectic industry. Utilizing my ability to work through changes and optimize any and all experiences or opportunities that are presented to me, with dedication and passion, enables me to be a valuable asset to teams. I believe that these characteristics will allow me to succeed within any environment.

I have held a variety of leadership roles throughout both my high school and college careers. This, in conjunction with the successful completion of a creative leadership business course, have taught me how to lead respectfully and maturely in a creative environment. These prior leadership positions have helped me to understand the importance of delegation and cooperation. In addition to leading, I know how to be a teammate. I have participated on numerous teams, reinforcing the significance of teamwork and collaboration.
